The Gatchaman CG movie teaser is now available on the web. Catch it here.

Originated in Japan in the early 1970s as the TV series “Science Ninja Team Gatchaman.” Aired in the U.S. as “Battle of the Planets” and “G-Force,” it soon became a widely popular syndicated TV series. Fans of CG anime are in for a treat as the upcoming movie will feature some of the most ambitious action sequences ever seen in animation.

Tentative release date is slated for April 3rd, 2009

Gatchaman or G-Force as some of you may know it as, is coming. No firm release date yet unfortunately. There are bits of information trickling all over the web but pretty much the same stuff that is going around and nothing more concrete as far as I can see except that the project is still in development. It is going to be in CGI although I was hoping that it will be a live action flick but I guess some things are better left as they are. Check out the awesome concept art at Firstshowing.net

Robert E Howard’s Red Sonja is set for a refresh with Robert Rodriguez as producer (I was kind of hoping that he will be directing) and Douglas Aarniokoski as Director. Rose McGowan will star as the red haired heroine. No firm release date as yet but slated sometime in 2009. From the looks of it I?d wager either for Christmas or even a 2010 release.

Whether the movie will suck or end up a cult favorite, it is still Rose McGowan in a metal bikini. And that alone is worth the ticket price. No official website link yet.

Speaking of which, keep your peeps out for the upcoming Tekken movie (currently in post production) starring Luke Goss as Steve Fox and Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa as Heihachi Mishima. As with most video game to movie franchises, I am a little skeptical even if the movie promises some “high octane” R-Rated action, I still have my reservations. I don’t see a lot of hype going around with this one so far.

Check out the intense Punisher: Warzone trailer from Comic Con 08 courtesy of IGN.com.

If the movie is as good as it looks, this could be THE Punisher movie and we are all in for one hell of a ride. We’re talking about total GBH (Grievous Bodily Harm) in this movie. The first movie with Thomas Jane was pretty good but it didn’t quite capture the raw gritty darkness of the Punisher character. I am not faulting the man’s portrayal, in fact he plays a very believable Frank Castle.

However, I felt that the script had too much “emotional elements” taking way too much screen time showing the anguish Frank Castle is going through rather than the violence that is The Punisher. Warzone, could be closer to the comic than an examination into the psychological ramifications of the Punisher slant towards crime from the first movie. In fact, I felt that the first was more of an “origins” movie. This one had better have the raw action and the hardware. And from what I have seen of Ray Stevenson’s performance in the trailer I don’t think it will disappoint.

Just please, don’t let it suck.

The full trailer is now available online via IGN.COM. You can either view it online or download the clip. And from the looks of it, it is going to be awesome. Somehow, after 3 live action movies, one would expect Mila Jovovich in this one, but it is a whole new slant and it does bring a refreshing breath of fresh air to the storyline.

How d’you do, I see you’ve met my faithful handyman
He’s just a little brought down because when you knocked
He thought you were the candyman.
Don’t get strung out by the way that I look,
Don’t judge a book by its cover
I’m not much of a man by the light of day,
But by night I’m one hell of a lover

I’m just a Sweet Transvestite from Transexual, Transylvania

A new 2 hour remake by MTV of the cult favorite, “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” is about to become reality. The original screenplay by Jim Sharman and Richard O’Brien will be used (oh yeah). Hopefully, there will be some costume updates and the music bumped up a couple of notches. If they get it right, it is going to be awesome. But don’t expect it to come this Halloween. No cast has been announced yet.

Resident Evil: Degeneration’s CG movie website is up and running! Ok, so I may be a little late on the trailer bit but if you don’t know about it, head on over for a peek. You can read a short synopsis as well as the production blog on the site. The movie features a brand new story set 7 years from the Raccoon City which means (if I am correct that is) this takes place about one year after Resident Evil 4 and three years before the soon to be released Resident Evil 5. Leon and Claire’s back so it’ll be something. And from what I’ve seen so far in the teaser Trailer, this movie?s probably going to end up in my DVD collection eventually
